Added

• Rename and Pin in the Library's right-click menu, in the list and the card view alike, above Add to Project and Delete. Rename turns the row's title, or the card's heading, into an editor in place. An action the source cannot take stays in the menu, disabled, with a tooltip saying why, and progress appears in the same corner cards a delete uses.

Improved

• A rename shows its new title immediately, in the Library and in the Reader. It goes back to the old one only if the source refuses, with the status card saying why. Pushing a rename drives a browser in the background and takes around fifteen seconds on some sources, which read as the pencil having done nothing at all.
• Opening a conversation no longer means waiting on a blank window. The header, the toolbar and the message area are drawn before anything is requested, as placeholders the real content lands in without the page moving, and "Conversation not available" now appears only when the conversation really is gone.
• The update window reads in two tiers. The opening line and the release's two or three highlights come first, and everything else collapses into one row you can expand, labelled with what it covers. Releases you skipped read the same way, and Settings shows the same notes with the record already open. A release with no highlights shows its full record, as before.

Fixed

• A Wave recording is stored with all of its words and with the speaker label Wave itself shows above each turn — a real name where its diarizer has one, Speaker 1 or Unknown Speaker where it does not. Turns are checked against the recording's own flat transcript before anything is stored, and where a passage cannot be put to a voice the words are kept without one rather than attributed to the wrong person.
• A Wave session no longer loses its transcript to a scrape that could read only the summary: it keeps the words it already had, and the Summary | Transcript switch stays where it was.
• Wave summaries are read from the session's own data rather than off the page, so a session cannot be caught mid-render or read out of the summary editor while it is open. A summary that comes back holding less than the one already stored is refused, and one holding more is always accepted, so a session stored short repairs itself the next time it is read.
• A scrape whose title read comes back empty leaves the stored title alone instead of erasing it. On every source: a conversation no longer goes untitled in the Library because one scrape missed a heading, and no longer drops out of search by name in the meantime.
• Speaker 1 and Unknown Speaker are no longer counted as people when the app works out who was in a meeting.

Added

• Wave sessions now keep the full transcript, not just the summary. Where Wave separated the voices each turn is stored as who said it and what they said, with how far into the recording it was said; a session imported from a PDF or a YouTube video keeps the extracted document. Everything is searchable.
• A Summary | Transcript switch in the Reader on a Wave session. Summary opens first, each view scrolls from the top, and its copy button takes the whole of it. The switch appears only when the session actually holds both halves.
• A search result opens a Wave session on the half the match is in, instead of on the summary with the evidence off screen.
• The update window says where you stand under the new version's name — "You're on 0.1.85", and, when you skipped releases, that it also installs the ones in between.

Improved

• A recorded session reads as a document. Summary and transcript are drawn as one sheet across a wider measure, without the chat bubbles and the source glyph beside every block, which made a meeting look like a conversation it never was. Find-in-conversation, the next-section button and search landing still move through it block by block.
• Wave summaries are kept as Wave wrote them: headings, bullets and bold intact, and nothing above the first heading dropped.
• Meeting sources no longer show a prompt count. A recording has no prompts; the number was only how the text had been cut up for search. Cards, rows and the Reader header leave the spot empty.
• Releases you skipped are now listed under "Also installed with this update", each as a collapsed row you can expand, with the new version's own notes always open. The footer states that ChatsRecall restarts to finish installing, and the window keeps keyboard focus inside it while Escape still closes it.
• Icons throughout the app are drawn with a heavier stroke, so they no longer read thin and washed out beside the text next to them.

Fixed

• Re-opening a long Gemini conversation no longer shrinks it. Gemini only loads its most recent exchanges when you open a chat, and that shortened version was being stored over the full one; ChatsRecall now fetches the earlier exchanges itself, and a re-scrape can only ever add to what is stored. This applies to every source: a conversation already saved in full is never replaced by a shorter read of it.
• A Wave session no longer moves about between scrapes. A summary caught mid-render is recognized and ignored instead of overwriting the settled one, so the section count and the point where Summary ends and Transcript begins stay put. Sessions already stored from a half-rendered page are re-read once on the next sync; nothing has to be found by hand.
• An imported Wave session no longer stores its summary twice, once as the summary and again as the transcript.

Added

• A back link at the top of New Chat and Continue in another app. It returns to the conversation you were handing off, or to the project you started the chat for, and falls back to Chats otherwise. Escape does the same thing.
• List view shows files. A row with files carries the same chip the cards do, and a row without them gives the space back to the title.

Improved

• Files, generated and attached are now the only words the app uses for them. The file chip reads "10 files" and the breakdown moved to the hover ("Files: 3 generated, 7 attached"), the file filter says "Any file", and the Files page marks each row Generated or Attached.
• A list that is still reading never looks like one that has answered. Loading is a dashed panel with the page's pulsing icon; an answer, including "nothing here", is a solid card. Chats, Projects, Files and Extensions all follow it.
• The Projects page shows that indicator for every read, not just the first one after startup, so it no longer says "No projects yet" while it is still looking. Projects already on screen stay put while the list refreshes.
• The Extensions count stays blank until the check for connected browsers answers, instead of reading 0 first.
• Hover hints now name the chips whose text is a bare value: the file count, the prompt count, and the folder, project, repository and branch tags.
• The prompt count spells the word out in both views, since the speech bubble on its own reads as messages just as easily.
• Claude Code chats no longer show the same folder twice. The repository tag already names the working directory, so the footer's folder chip is left off for them. A ChatsRecall project still shows.
• The guided tour was rebuilt against the current app. It now covers filtering by source and the three source settings, Projects, and opening a chat, and every step that had gone stale was rewritten.
• Help explains how to take a source out of the sidebar, and what the difference is between hiding its row and hiding its chats.
• Concepts, Entities and Moments are drawn with the app's standard controls: the same segmented switch, search fields, buttons and selection styling as the rest of the app.
• Pinned has finished moving out of the sidebar. The row is gone from every page; use Pinned only in Filters next to the search box.

Fixed

• Release notes read as they were written. Bullets in the update window, in Settings, and on the website no longer break mid-sentence and leave a word stranded on its own line.
• Searching no longer flashes "No matching conversations" for a second before the results arrive. The list says it is searching until there is an answer.

Added

• List view is back. Switch between cards and a list with the buttons next to the page title. Each row shows the title and opening prompt on one line, with the project, prompt count and time beside them. Your choice is remembered.
• Chats are grouped by date: Today, Yesterday, Previous 7 days, Previous 30 days, then by month. New Chat is always the first item in Today.
• Continue in another app has two new modes. Give me a second opinion sends only your prompts, with the replies left out. Review this critically sends the whole conversation and asks what is wrong, weak, missing or risky in it.
• A short guided tour shows what changed the first time you open this version.

Improved

• Pinned is now a filter. Turn on Pinned only in Filters, next to the search box, and combine it with a source, account, project or search to see, for example, only your pinned Gemini chats. It no longer takes a row in the sidebar.
• The search box buttons are labelled Ask and Filters.
• Cards are easier to scan. The date sits above the title where the source name used to be (the source icon still tells you where a chat is from), and inside Today and Yesterday it shows just the time. Previews that only repeat the title are hidden, and everything under the title lines up with it.
• The button next to Sources shows how many sources are hidden instead of a dot, and the sources window explains that hidden sources don't appear in Chats or search but keep syncing.
• Hover hints on icon buttons and cut-off names appear almost immediately and match the app's look.
• Continue in another app opens directly when only one browser extension can do it, and asks which browser to use otherwise. If the browser can't open it, the choice comes back with the reason.
• Handing off a conversation that was itself handed off no longer stacks instructions inside the title and prompts.

Fixed

• Gemini conversations no longer miss prompts that were scrolled out of view, including turns that only contain an attachment.
• Deleting a conversation always removes it from ChatsRecall, even when a sync runs at the same moment.
• Continue in another app no longer mixes your text with a draft the other app restores in its message box. It waits for the box to settle and tells you if an earlier draft is still there.

Added

• Find in conversation. Press Ctrl+F in the Reader, or click the magnifier in its header, to search the conversation you are reading. Enter and Shift+Enter step through the matches with a count of where you are, and Esc closes the bar. Opened from a search result, it starts filled with your search.
• Sort Classic search by relevance. The Newest first / Relevance choice in the search options now works for Classic as well as Ladder.
• AI assistants connected through the local API or MCP can ask your archive a question and get a cited answer, the same one the Ask archive button gives. This needs a token with the new "ask" permission.

• Search excerpts show more of the text around the match.
• Cards from today and yesterday show the time, such as "Today, 2:14 PM", so same-day conversations are easy to tell apart.
• New installs open in a larger window, and Settings > Reset UI > Minimize View returns to that size.

Fixed

• Imported transcripts and Zoom meetings now show up in the library and in search. Before, they were saved but never shown.
• Opening a search result now highlights every match in the conversation and scrolls to the right one, including when you click anywhere on the card rather than on an excerpt.
• A result card with no matching excerpt no longer bolds unrelated words in its preview.

Added

• Delete at the source and here, together, so the two never disagree. The action is in the Library and in the Reader header, and the confirmation says which of the two it is about to do, because that depends on the source. Most sources delete at the source and the local copy goes with it. Wave, Read AI, Fireflies, Zoom, and Claude Code or Cowork sessions that live only on this computer have no delete ChatsRecall can reach, so the confirmation says so up front and offers to remove the conversation from ChatsRecall alone, leaving the original where it is.
• Delete now, remove at the source later. If the delete at the source fails, because nobody is signed into the right account, no browser is open, or the source itself is erroring, the status card offers to remove the conversation from ChatsRecall straight away and finish at the source on a later sync. That card waits for an answer instead of fading away.
• Syncs finish the deletes you queued. While that happens the source's row in the live view reads "Deleting" and names how many conversations are being removed at the source, counting through them when there is more than one. It returns to its normal finished state as soon as they are done, and a browser still working through them keeps its spinner until it has finished.
• A conversation you deleted never comes back. Syncing and live capture both check what you deleted before storing anything, so a chat that still exists at its source is not added again on the next sync. Wiping a source's local data from Settings clears that record too, so the source starts over completely.

Improved

• Starting a new chat picks the right browser. With one compatible connector the tab opens immediately. With two or more, a dialog lists the connected browsers and you choose where the chat opens, rather than one being picked for you.
• Google AI Mode never offers a browser that cannot run it.
• The conversation you started opens by itself. Once its first message is captured and saved, ChatsRecall opens it in the Reader in the background. The browser keeps focus, so coming back to ChatsRecall shows the chat already open. If it belongs to a project it is filed there, with a "Saved to" toast when that project's list is on screen. This works with or without a project.
• A conversation you continue somewhere else comes back here on its own. Pick where to continue it, send when you are ready, and once the new conversation is captured ChatsRecall opens it in the Reader, again without taking the browser's focus. If the conversation you continued from belonged to a project, the continued chat is filed into the same project once it is sent, and both the page and the confirmation name that project. Nothing opens if you never send.
• The confirmation shown when a chat is launched explains what will happen: that you send when you are ready, and that the conversation will open here once it is saved. An empty tab or an unsent draft does not open anything, and Claude Code cloud says up front that it will not open here automatically.

Fixed

• A queued delete that keeps failing is no longer retried forever. It is tried for ten syncs and then abandoned, and the Sync History row for that source says what succeeded and what was given up on.

Added

• Continue in another app. The Reader has a new action next to Open Original. Pick where to continue and ChatsRecall opens a new chat there with the conversation already in the message box, as one draft. Nothing is sent: you read it over and press send yourself. Destinations are ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, Copilot, and Google AI Mode. Any conversation can be the starting point, including Cowork and Claude Code sessions that only exist on this computer.
• Hand over the whole conversation or a summary of it. The full transcript goes across as prompts and replies, capped at 50,000 characters: a longer conversation keeps its most recent messages and tells you how many earlier ones were left out. The summary is written by a model (the goal, what was decided, what is still open, where to pick up) and needs an OpenAI or Anthropic key in Settings; without one that choice is disabled with the reason on it.
• A conversation that belongs to a ChatsRecall project carries the project with it: the chat you continue is filed there as soon as you send it.

Improved

• The browser connector's popup is a flat panel in the app's own colors now, following your system's light or dark setting. Connection status is one row that says what to do if it is down, sources waiting for a permission are plain rows with an Allow button, and the command history moved to a Logs link in the footer.
• A pasted-in conversation keeps its line breaks everywhere. Perplexity's message box used to fold the whole text into a single line, so it was offered only as a disabled destination; with browser extension 0.1.9 it keeps every line and blank line, and joins the list.

Added

• Two-way renaming. The Reader's header has a rename action: click the pencil, type the new title, press Enter, and the conversation is renamed at its source. The title in your library only changes once the source confirms. Works for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, Copilot, Wave, and Claude Code and Cowork cloud sessions. Where a source has no rename (Google AI Mode, meeting notetakers, imports, local Claude sessions), the action stays visible but disabled, with a tooltip saying why.
• Open at source from any message. Every prompt and response in the Reader has an action that opens the original conversation in your browser scrolled to that exact message, with the message outlined on the page.

Fixed

• Wave favourites. Wave moved its favourite toggle into a "Session tools" dialog, which left favourite status stuck at "not favourited" for captured sessions and broke pinning from the app. Both follow the dialog now.

Added

• Inside a ChatsRecall project, a New Chat card leads the grid. The first conversation you start from it is saved to that project automatically, with a "Saved to <project>" confirmation.

Improved

• Searching with Ladder no longer pauses to rebuild its indexes. New and changed conversations are indexed as they are saved, so a search stays quick even while a sync or backfill is running.
• New Chat opens the source in your primary connected browser and brings that window to the front. Google AI Mode picks the first browser allowed to run it.

• Clicking outside the search options popover only closes it; the sidebar row or conversation card under the pointer is no longer activated by that click.

• Pins on local sessions are captured too. A Claude Code or Cowork session pinned in the Claude desktop app on this computer arrives in your library as pinned on the next sync.
• Zoom appears in the sync source list. Connecting a Zoom account is not possible yet, so selecting the source finds nothing until that lands.

• The Reader's pin button now explains itself on sessions whose pin the app cannot change, instead of attempting a push that cannot succeed: sessions that live on this computer point you to the Claude desktop app.

• Concepts: a browsable index of the topics, people, companies and products your archive talks about. Pick a term to see every conversation that mentions it, and open one straight at the message the term was found in. It is built entirely on your machine, with no model and no network call.
• Moments: an index of what happened rather than what was discussed. Decisions made, advice given, requirements set, conclusions reached, each quoted from the message it happened in and openable at that message. An X-Ray view lays a conversation's moments out in order and shows what superseded, refined, resolved or contradicted what, across conversations. Indexing uses the OpenAI key you added for search, runs only when you ask for it, and tells you the cost first.
• Import a transcript by hand, from Settings. A VTT or SRT file, or pasted text, becomes an ordinary conversation you can read, search and index like any other. It closes the gap where a recording was deleted at the vendor before anything ever captured it.
• Pin or unpin a conversation at its source from the Reader, for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Copilot and Wave.
• Folders from Wave now sync into your library.
• Sources you never use can be hidden from the sidebar, without changing anything about what syncs.
• The Sync page gains a Select All button, and its status dots are half again as large.

• Ladder search and Ask your archive are ordinary features now. There is nothing to switch on first.
• The sidebar reads as three groups and is the same list on every page, so a row is never missing just because of the page you are on. Extensions and Settings moved down to the footer, above Help.
• Gemini replies are stored as Markdown, so lists, bold, code and tables survive into the Reader.
• Pinning and deleting at the source report their progress and their outcome in one status card, instead of a message that arrives before the work has finished.
• Pinning and deleting keep working after a restart, instead of failing until the next sync has run.

• The Experimental switch at the bottom of Settings is gone. Everything it used to gate now ships on.

• Projects and folders now sync from Claude, Grok (Projects), Perplexity (Spaces), and Copilot, joining ChatGPT. Conversations appear under their folder, and a folder deleted on the source never deletes your saved conversations.
• Copilot conversations inside a project are now captured at all: Copilot only lists them inside the project, so earlier versions never saw them.
• The sync view shows a dedicated projects step with live counts, and Sync History gains a Projects column.

• Copilot now syncs only in browsers that can actually read it. Microsoft Edge blocks extensions on copilot.microsoft.com, so those doomed attempts are skipped instead of failing every run.

• Ask your archive no longer fails with "reached its round limit": the search now wraps up with its best answer from the evidence it gathered.

• Claude Code and Claude Cowork conversations stored on this computer now sync as their own "This computer" lane beside the browser lanes, with its own badge on the Sync page, its own rows in the live view and Sync History, and its own counts. Session files are read directly from disk, no browser window needed.
• Sync page sources are now compact badges with a status dot. Hovering shows the stored conversation count and last synced time; right-clicking a source with stored data offers to remove its local copy.

• A visual refresh across every page in both themes: flat surfaces with hairline borders replace gradients, glows, and blur; a single refined accent covers the primary action, active navigation, focus, and links; typography is calmer; status colors are softer tints. Light mode now sits on a near-white background with white cards. The website matches.
• Source names on cards, list rows, and the Files page read in quiet text while the colored source mark carries identity, keeping busy pages readable.
• While a sync runs, every row in the live view leads with the source's own tinted glyph, so a glance shows which source is being worked on.

• A Files page, sitting between Projects and Usage in the sidebar. It lists every file across your whole archive: the ones you attached to prompts and the ones the chats produced in their replies, newest conversation first, each row showing where the file came from. A search box covers file names and conversation titles, and one filter chip per file type (with counts) makes "show me every PDF" a single click. The sidebar's source rows narrow the list in place, exactly as they do for your chats, and newly captured files appear while a sync runs without leaving the page.
• Every file offers two ways to open it: inside ChatsRecall, with the conversation opened right at the message that carries the file, or on the original chat page in a connected browser, scrolled to that message and highlighted. ChatsRecall stores file names and types, never the file contents, so opening a file always means finding it where it lives.

Improved

• The Sync row in the sidebar now shows when the last sync finished ("5m ago") right on the row, replacing the small status line that used to sit at the bottom of the sidebar. While a sync runs, the familiar activity ring takes its place.
• Help is now a labeled row in the sidebar footer instead of a bare icon, and the Help dialog is more focused: open the Help page or replay onboarding from the beginning. The extension setup guide on its own is still available from Settings.
• The dark mode switch moved to Settings, under a new Appearance section, instead of a small icon at the bottom of the sidebar. The choice still applies everywhere and is remembered between launches.

• An Experimental features switch in Settings. It gathers still-settling capabilities in one place: the new Ladder search engine lives behind it, and the agent search button, previously always visible, now lives there too. With the switch off, nothing about the app changes.
• Ladder search (experimental): a second search engine you can flip to right inside the search field. When an exact match comes up empty, it progressively loosens the query (all terms, word variants, related concepts, soundalikes, partial matches) and stops at the first rung that finds enough, labeling every result page with how it matched. A sort control picks newest first or best match. Classic stays the default and is unchanged.
• An early access point for connecting AI tools to your archive: a local, read-only interface (REST and MCP) that listens only on your own machine, with per-tool tokens, scopes, daily quotas, and an audit log that never records message content. For advanced users for now: tokens are created from the command line until a proper in-app page arrives.

Improved

• Sync History now tells your browsers apart. When more than one browser syncs the same source, the run shows one row per source with a small status badge per browser; clicking the row expands each browser's own result. If one browser fails while another succeeds, the row shows an amber warning instead of a red failure.

Fixed

• After a large database upgrade on first launch, the app could open to an empty library until restarted. It now reloads itself when the upgrade finishes instead of accepting emptiness as an answer.

Added

• A Help page on the ChatsRecall website with answers to common questions about setup, syncing, and your data, plus an Open Help page button in the app's Help & Support dialog that takes you straight there.
• A sync activity indicator on the Sync row of the sidebar: while a sync runs, a small orange ring appears at the right edge of the row, or on the corner of the sync button when the sidebar is collapsed. It is visible from every page of the app.

• A sign-in hiccup during sync could create a duplicate "default" account holding an empty copy of your library (seen with Wave meetings). This no longer happens, and existing duplicates are folded back into the real account automatically, keeping the newest content and any pins.
• Scrolling the library no longer occasionally shows the same conversation twice.
• The minimized browser window a sync uses is now closed reliably after the run ends.

• Pick which sources appear in the sidebar. A new button next to the SOURCES label opens a picker where you turn sources on or off. Hidden sources keep syncing, their conversations stay under All Sources, and search still finds them; only the sidebar row is hidden.

• Read AI meetings were coming through nearly empty: summaries were blank, the conversation itself was missing, and meetings with nothing captured kept being retried on every sync without ever finishing. Read AI sends its data in a different shape than ChatsRecall expected. ChatsRecall now reads what Read AI actually sends, so meeting summaries and everything that was said are captured again.
• Long sync runs could leave a minimized browser window behind when the browser briefly lost its connection to ChatsRecall partway through, and that window then stayed open forever. ChatsRecall now remembers any window it could not close and quietly closes it once the browser reconnects, after checking that the window is still only showing sync pages.

• Sync history is clearer when Read AI cannot be reached: if the browser connector is too old for Read AI (0.1.5 or newer is needed), the sync now says exactly that instead of reporting an empty result, and when ChatsRecall cannot tell whether you are signed in to a source, the message now includes the reason.

• Launching ChatsRecall from the Start menu while it was already running used to start a second copy of the app, with its own tray icon. The copies then competed for the browser connection and the conversation archive, which could quietly break live capture and make syncs fail. A second launch now simply brings the existing window to the front.

Early preview: opening a conversation at the exact message is brand new and not finished yet. Some sites may scroll to the wrong spot, skip the highlight, or take a moment to settle; the conversation itself still opens normally. Support is being verified site by site, and highlighting works best with browser extension 0.1.6. Older extensions fall back to a simpler locator that can miss on some pages.
